Klaar Zegers
External confidant
After studying International Organizations at the RUG in Groningen, I returned to Groningen after a brief stopover in The Hague. I have lived here for over 30 years now. I am not an idler but always busy. Opinionated, analytical, energetic and a go-getter. In 2000, in went into business.
I help individual entrepreneurs with the development and strategy of their business. Often from a problematic situation. The goal is always to regain resilience and perspective. As a passionate trainer and consultant, I know how to empower people. I let them experience how they can be valuable with their work and their business and give them the energy to go for it.
I also work for governments and larger organizations. This revolves around development issues around entrepreneurship, labor market, self-employment and the local economy. The development of entrepreneurship is always at the center. This makes people “future-proof” because they are meaningful to client, customers or employer. After all, enterprising, initiative-loving people are needed anytime, anywhere.
I have always been fascinated by what gets people going. What motivates people and pushes them to do their best? I also see organizations as living organisms, with a soul and an identity. To flourish as an organization, you need to know what the DNA of your people is as well as what is going on inside the organization and in the outside world. I see my role as an external confidant in that light: supporting organizations in better connecting people and organization so that they make a difference in their market and are truly meaningful.
