ContactEen vertrouwenspersoon houdt zich bezig met zowel ongewenste omgangsvormen zoals (seksuele) intimidatie, agressie, pesten en discriminatie, als met integriteitskwesties zoals fraude, diefstal, misbruik van bedrijfsmiddelen, ongewenste nevenactiviteiten of machtsmisbruik.
Voor kleinere organisaties is het vaak lastig om een eigen (interne) vertrouwenspersoon te hebben. Voor hen is een extern vertrouwenspersoon dan een goede oplossing. Maar ook grotere organisaties kiezen vaak voor een extern vertrouwenspersoon, al dan niet in combinatie met een interne vertrouwenspersoon. De externe vertrouwenspersoon kan uw interne vertrouwenspersoon ondersteunen en is onafhankelijk. Dat maakt het voor sommige werknemers makkelijker om iets te melden of te bespreken.

The first task
Supporting the victim of unwanted behavior or the potential reporter of an integrity issue: listening to his or her story and working together to find an appropriate solution to the situation, allowing him or her to function safely and healthily again.

Educate employees and supervisors about undesirable behavior and integrity issues: the emphasis is on prevention, how to deal with it if it does occur and the role of the confidential advisor in this regard.
The third task
Solicited and unsolicited advice to management in both areas.
